Morristown Hamblen Hospital Foundation Postpones GALA

Previously Scheduled for Sept. 24

Morristown, Tenn. Sept. 2021 The Morristown Hamblen Hospital Foundation Gala, which was scheduled for Friday, September 24th, will be rescheduled for March 11th, 2022, at All Saints’ Episcopal School in Morristown. We deeply appreciate our sponsors and donors who were integral in selling out all 32 tables for the event. Ticket holders and donors will receive additional information about the new event.

The postponement of the event is to ensure the safety of all the attendees. Due to the high COVID-19 case count in Morristown, which has resulted in aid from the National Guard to facilitate care in the emergency department and other units at our medical center, we felt postponing the event was the best and safest option. Members of the Morristown-Hamblen Hospital Foundation board and GALA committee express their sincere gratitude for the understanding of our community and patrons.

The 2020 and 2021 Lifetime Commitment to Healthcare Award winners Tom Thompson, MD, FACS, and Izabela Burja, MD, FCAP will be honored at the 2022 event. “We look forward to safely welcoming guests and honoring these outstanding physicians at a wonderful GALA celebration next spring,” said Patrick Birmingham, Covenant Health’s vice president of philanthropy and government releations.

Once again the Foundation thanks all of this year’s donors, sponsors and ticket holders for their enthusiastic support of the GALA to benefit the patients and families of Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. For more information, contact Kelli Rosenbalm at 423-492-5602 or visit MorristownHamblen.com/Giving. All outdoor fundraising events planned for the remainder of 2021 will proceed as planned.
